Our Story The Last Co. is a family design studio based in London. Co-founded by Husband and wife team Matt and Katie and brother in-law alistair. Inspired by David attenborough’s Blue Planet 2, Matt came up with the idea in Spring 2018 during his routine smoothie order. Over the course of a few weeks, he noticed how often the juice bar removed, brought back and tried to replace their single-use plastic straws with various alternatives like paper straws. None of these did the job and the bar went back and settled on single-use plastic. Matt thought there had to be a better solution – that’s when the idea of a portable, stainless steel straw that was convenient, practical and reusable came to him, and the Last Straw and The Last Co.® were born.
